Wow So This Year Really Flew By!
Anyone else blink and then all of the sudden you’re in November? Wild.
At the end of the year I start to catalogue everything I did in the year and prepare for the year to come. This year I did:
over 100 daily strips
wrote and submitted 2 pitches
one of which is still being worked on and fleshed out. But by the end of the year I hope to have done done
Launched SPAKOW! (a full year from idea to creation)
Put out a second issue of Spakow! (more pages. went from 32 to 40)
wrote all of Spakow! 3 and 4. (went from 40 pages to 48)
You read that right. Spakow! 3 and 4 are written. And should be released February and May.
The daily strip is winding down.
After almost 250 (I’m positive we will get there) the Strip is going to stop being posted after this arc. It’s time to do more adventures with The Baboon in a different format. So I’ll be posting what I am working on here on Substack but it’ll just look a little different and will not be daily. Probably twice a week. Once for paid subscribers, once for free! Thank you for sticking with me while I did this passion project and thanks for being there for more!
SPAKOW! IS FUNDED BY YOU DEAR SUBSTACKER!
Did you know that paid Subscribers get access to posts and process pertaining to SPAKOW!? Did you also know that every time an issue is released they get sent the book in the mail. Like the Actual mail??? Not only does it get you a book, but it keeps me afloat a little bit and keeps me at the desk making the work that I want to make. So please consider upgrading. The price of the book (mainly due to the page count jumping from 32-48 in 2 issues) is going to be going up. Just by a few dollars but the price of a subscription here is going to stay the same. Saving you in the long run a little more money.
Moving on up in the world!
This week I bought a proper guillotine paper cutter. And it is cooooooool! maybe a little bigger than I expected but, hey, bigger is better! Listen to that slice! oooo so clean!
AND NOW FOR A LITTLE SPAKOW! 3 UPDATE!
This issue brings back the character that launched the whole project, The Wizard Cowboy. My good friend
is making his comic book debut by writing the story. Check out his script and my thumbnails below!Keep reading with a 7-day free trial
